Shy Flyer is a New York-based rock band, formed in the music scene of Hofstra University. Inspired by contemporary rock bands such as Pinegrove and Title Fight, as well as the classic 90’s alternative rock sound of Hum and Foo Fighters, they strike a modern chord that harkens back in time. Their debut EP Ground Rules released in February displays a mixture of soft spoken melody and raging choruses, drawing on the influence of albums such as Parachutes by Coldplay and Life in a Jar by Superheaven.
